Equal Area Maps and Grid Maps

Under the direction of Mrs. Spurgin, fifth graders are learning the difference between equal area maps and grid maps. Fifth graders are learning where the major surface currents are in the ocean. Fifth graders are also considering what maps and currents have to do with sailing ships, shipwrecks, and locating shipwrecks.
