The congregants of Little Kutztown Chapel invited us in to their homes to share a meal. We pulled in to the church parking lot, circled up and divided up. Each group of chaperones and students was driven to a family's home. We were blessed with good conversations, laughter, and some of us were challenged to relate with people who chose to live a unique lifestyle. Some of us were challenged by new food and new smells.
The pictures above are from the house where a few of us ate. This family's farm houses 130,000 chickens. They were all being delivered on the day we stopped by for dinner. So on this family's busiest work day, they still made time to have a meal with us and serve us dinner. We were also invited to help with dinner clean up. As one student washed dishes in the kitchen sink he watched a lamb graze in the yard; he commented that this was the first time he had washed dishes.

I LOVE when we go to the Little Kutztown Family Dinner! It is so delicious! I was at the same house that I was at last year. We had the same main meal. It's fun to see what we do differently and the same."
