Three Times in One Day

On Monday, everyone (or almost everyone) got sent to time-out three times. We were practicing!

I want students to know that time-out is a time to relax, think and plan.

1. Relax- If you are angry, anxious, stressed or over-reacting, your first step is to let it go. Relax. Good thinking cannot happen when we are agitated.

2. Think- What was happening around you just before you went to time-out? Is there something you could do differently?

3. Plan- How will you re-enter the community ready to work and think well? What is your strategy for now and for the future?

Fifth graders did very well in rehearsal!
