Fifth graders are growing in their ability to organize large tasks. On Monday we tackled grading all of last week's math homework. You can imagine that there were some moments of confusion. Many of us had not labeled the graph paper where we showed our work. Fifth graders were patient and persistent. The pages were organized and graded.
We shared some strategies for organizing our assignments over the coming weeks. We found some extra folders next door (thanks Ms. M). We reminded each other to label each page. One student had even thought to make a booklet out of her graph paper, this way she won't lose anything. Another student thought that the staples would get annoying, so she suggested using paper clips.
