On Friday, fifth graders have another poetry test. Everyone is taking two tests to prove they know their Langston Hughes poem.
Next Friday, January 14th, fifth graders will recite their poems in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King's vision. If you are able, please plan to attend either the 8:30 worship or 11:00 worship to see your fifth grader perform.
This week and next, we will work on our public speaking abilities. We will work in small groups to master our volume, expression, and pacing.
Each year this is a task that seems insurmountable to fifth graders. Each year fifth graders surprise themselves with how well they do. We will take this project, like all projects, one step at a time.
