At 10:15 on February 17, we will visit the Intrepid's exhibit entitled "Aviation: Up, Up and Away!"
From Intrepid's website: "The science of flight comes to life as students tour the ship’s Flight Deck to discover how nature influenced airplane shape and design. Participating in demonstrations of the four forces of flight, students experiment with the concepts before creating their own flying vessels."
This trip will expand our studies of flight and rocketry with new knowledge and hands on experiences.
We will take the ferry and walk a couple blocks to our destination. You will need to bring a brown bag lunch and wear appropriate clothing. We are going no matter what!
We will also need 2 parent volunteers. So if you are available for a Thursday field trip, let me know!
