Not Monday, but the next Monday fifth graders will participate in the Geo Bee preliminary rounds. The Geo Bee offers fourth and fifth graders the opportunity to participate in a bee setting.
If fifth graders are motivated to study for the bee at home, this is a great opportunity for them to familiarize themselves with world and U.S. geography. The breadth and specificity of the questions does make this a difficult bee to study for, but playing geography games at home would be a helpful way to prepare. Middle school students are preparing by taking daily geography quizzes.
